We spent four months in a one-bedroom house at Quinta da Baleeira. The property has been completely restored, with modern interiors, heated floors, air conditioning, a lounge, laundry room and pool. It worked well for us because it's quiet and beautifully landscaped, just five minutes from Tavira centre and ten minutes from Barril beach. Carolina, the property manager, made our long stay even better. She speaks several languages, checked in regularly to make sure we had everything, looked after the property as if it were her own, and always had an amazing can-do attitude. The sunrises over the beach from our kitchen window and sunsets from the roof deck are not to be missed. In Tavira, check out the new Xisto cafe for fresh artisanal food and barrista coffee, and Mesa Farta for elevated Portuguese food.

We enjoyed having breakfast and dinner on the terrace, with almond and avocado trees around us and an ocean view from the pool. The property was restful and quiet, with a great ambience. Our house had a clean design and was equipped with just what we needed. The staff were discreet and helpful, and we also enjoyed meeting the owner. The location has plenty of potential for client service. THANK YOU!

This is our second year at Quinta da Baleeira near Tavira, and we'll be back next year. We loved spending the winter in our own country house, breathing in the almond blossom and looking out over the orchards. The villa was very comfortable, with all the modern cons. We enjoyed cooking with food from local markets as well as trying the wonderful restaurants in Tavira and Santa Luzia. If you're looking for peace and quiet in the country, we highly recommend Quinta da Baleeira. Our hostesses Luisa and Carolina made us feel very welcome and helped make the stay a success. A great community of 10 homes built 2022, in a range of sizes. Some have a distant ocean view. Everything is very clean and to a high standard, and caretaker Luisa was easily available and provided great service.

The setting in Tavira was so calm, with the mountains on one side and the sea on the other. We loved the gardens and the great view, and the accommodation itself felt new, clean, comfortable, and smart. The staff were great too.
