The staff are lovely, and the dining area has nice decor. We booked by phone and were asked to choose our food ahead of time so they’d have time to prepare it. Do that if you want meat dishes too, since those take a long time to cook. We had Vitela, which was tender and delicious. The rice and potatoes are cooked in the oven, giving them a rich flavor. A meal for two costs between €20 and €25.

I stayed two nights at Casa do Almocreve and had both lunch and dinner there. The room was comfortable, the staff friendly, and the food and service were great. Most of the staff may not speak English, but there’s an English menu, and they’re happy to communicate using Google Translate.

It can get a little noisy depending on who else is staying there at the time. The owner or manager is very friendly, though, and will do their best to get you settled in comfortably.
