We had a lovely, peaceful, private stay. The outdoor lounge areas and lighting around the house looked especially beautiful at night, and Sebastian, the friendly little cat, liked to spend time outside. The pool isn't heated, and it was too cold in late October for us to try the kayaks or paddleboards. Juliana was wonderful, always enthusiastic, kind, and ready to help with whatever we needed. The place was spotless and comfortable, with everything we needed to cook, relax indoors, eat, and spend time outside. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful on both days, with fruit, cheeses, meats, bread, and yogurt. Just take care on the road in, as it's steep and winding in places. We'd happily recommend it.

Juliana was lovely and took care of every little detail, and the breakfast was delicious. The magnificent view made the stay even better. For a group, this place combines the comfort of staying together in a house with the services you'd get at a hotel. Wonderful!

The place itself was spotless and the scenery was magnificent, but Juliana's kindness and enthusiasm made our stay so much more enjoyable. She was eager to make us feel like special guests and cared about the property as if it were her own. That personal touch made the experience unique and our visit extremely pleasant.

We were offered a great selection of things to enjoy during our stay, including wine, beer, cookies, and fruit. The hosts were all friendly and available whenever we needed help. The accommodation was comfortable and well equipped, with a stunning view, and the location is special, with access to the Douro river for swimming and kayaking. I loved it.

Orlando made us feel at home and knew the Douro Valley inside out. With his help, we arranged tours and visits to several areas and winemakers in just a few days. The property is quiet and secluded, just right for a romantic break. We came in June 2015, and couldn't have asked for a better stay. Great service and a great host.
