The spa and pool were lovely, and so were the staff working there. Breakfast had a wide selection and a welcoming atmosphere. Unfortunately, the reception team came across as aloof and quite rude when we arrived. We know it was busy, but checking in felt like dealing with EasyJet. The entitled attitude carried over to checkout, and one receptionist in particular was extremely rude. Clients should be treated respectfully. It reflects badly on the hotel when staff act as if they’re above the place they work.

Their response says it all. My GPS history shows we arrived close to 11:45, not 11. We’d asked about an early check-in but decided against it, then went to a restaurant recommended by the front desk. I didn’t refuse to wear a cap. I’m bald. At check-in I offered my credit card for incidentals, but the front desk said they didn’t need it because they already had my payment details. At Hilton, Intercontinental, Marriott, and even smaller hotel groups, incidentals are simply charged to your card, so there’s no need to check out at the desk. That saves the hotel time and money. My wife returned our towel cards and told them we were checking out. Nobody said we needed to go to the front desk about incidentals. So we left as we would from a Hilton, Intercontinental, or Marriott, expecting the final bill within 24-48 hours.

We went to H2otel as a couple to try a hotel certified gluten-free by APC. The stay was great: comfortable rooms, pleasant open areas, a lovely pool, and a very relaxing Vichy massage. For anyone with gluten intolerance, the hotel was well prepared. Dinner and breakfast were excellent, with everything arranged in advance, good choices, and impressive care. Thanks to the nutritional team, especially Ms. Odete, and the serving team for making guests feel safe. Highly recommend this place to anyone with celiac disease.

Be sure to book aquadome ahead of time because it’s often fully booked. The heated indoor and outdoor pools are lovely and not too deep. I’m 5ft5 and could walk everywhere. The staff were warm, friendly, and attentive, and we also really enjoyed a massage. I can’t recommend this place enough.
