Family Secrets Douro

Cheguei e encontrei tudo limpo e a cheirar bem. Obrigado.

We booked a week at Family Secrets Douro for July 2018, and the owner required the full cost in advance. We paid it. On the day we were meant to arrive, an unexpected health problem made the trip impossible. Maria told us not to worry, said our health came first, and assured us they’d find a solution. Those were kind words. Then in September, they emailed to offer half the money back. We sent our bank account details and waited, but nothing arrived. Between September and December, we contacted Maria several times. At first there were excuses that they were busy and would pay soon, but no refund was ever deposited. For the last few months, my emails and calls have gone unanswered. I guess I can forget about MY MONEY. Be very careful with your money. They don’t keep their word, and I don’t find them trustworthy.

A peaceful spot with lovely views, where quiet and calm really take over. 💚💚

Really nice for relaxing.
