Breakfast together as a family was a lovely part of the stay, and the owner was so kind. The house dates back to 1855 and is beautifully decorated, with a spacious bedroom, a full bathroom, and a fabulous view of the Douro mountains. The outdoor pool, air conditioning, TV, and games room were all great too. It’s a welcoming spot, about 1.5 km from the center of Santa Marinha do Zêzere.

The drive up to the house is a little tricky, but the views make it worthwhile. Once there, the owner is so pleasant and attentive, and really looks after the details, especially at breakfast. She makes you feel at home and clearly wants you to enjoy your stay. It’s a place with a charm of its own.

The view is stunning, and the pool was such a treat in the recent hot weather. Everything was very clean and clearly looked after with care. We loved our stay in this quiet, beautiful spot, and Dídia and her family were incredibly friendly.

The pool was just right for cooling down, and being able to park right outside the door was a real plus. The grounds are lovely and kept in great shape, and breakfast was delicious. The woman running the place is so kind and welcoming. Thank you!
