Casa do Varandão

We left with this place firmly in our hearts. The location is handy, with shops, restaurants, and other services nearby, and central Barcelos quite close. The hosts were ten out of ten, and the house exceeded every expectation, with a fantastic garden and pool. Breakfast was wonderful each morning, and over the days we got little treats like homemade cakes, liqueurs, and fruit picked straight from the orchard. There were also several great experiences for the little ones. I highly recommend it, especially for families with young children.

The hosts were wonderfully attentive and thought of every detail, so you'll want to return. The kitchen had all the essentials, including a toaster, blender, fridge, oven, microwave, and coffee maker. Our bedroom was spacious, and the bed was huge and incredibly comfortable. The pool was excellent and spotless, and it was for guests only, not shared. A perfect stay, highly recommended.

I only just left and already miss the place. We had a wonderful stay, enjoying a real sense of family. The space was given to us with heart, while still keeping the distance these times require. It was very clean, everyone was so kind, breakfast was very good, and the location was great. I highly recommend it.

We were welcomed more warmly than by any host we've met before. Filomena and Paulo made our holiday unforgettable, and everything was wonderful, from the generous breakfasts to the well-kept pool area and orchard. Their restaurant suggestions are well worth trying, along with the homemade jams, liqueurs, and iced tea. Such a beautiful place!
