The peaceful setting and the family atmosphere were what we loved most. The Quinta is surrounded by beautiful trees and flowers, and if you're curious like me, you can spot all kinds of plants there, including lemon trees, avocado, blackberries, pepper, tomatoes, and other vegetables. If you're lucky, Grandma might show you her poultry. We loved the fresh eggs from there at breakfast, and she also made us Piri-Piri with citrus and pepper from the Quinta. That Hello is priceless! We spent two excellent weeks in Paradise, and everything felt easy and natural, even though they were only just getting started. The place has a crazy amount of potential. Before arriving in Barcelos, I wondered what we'd do in such a remote place, but the surprise was beyond my expectations. Barcelos city is only 7 minutes from the hotel. We were grateful for the kindness, the restaurant recommendations, and the hospitality. The Quinta is so large that an educational farm could be a lovely idea in the future, depending on the business model. Kids and grown-up kids like us would enjoy that connection to the earth. We can't wait to come back!

If you enjoy being surrounded by nature, this hotel is a perfect choice. The hosts were so friendly, and our room was spotless. We had exactly the romantic weekend we'd planned, and we're very grateful to the owners for that. It's an easy drive from Barcelos. I'd really recommend going!

Traveling here with dogs works really well. They can roam freely through almost all the areas, even around the pool, provided they don't swim. Anyone with pets knows how unusual that kind of freedom is. The staff are incredibly friendly, and breakfast is excellent. We especially recommend the croissants and pineapple juice. Porto and Braga are a bit of a drive away, but the roads here are in good condition.
