Francisco was a lovely host. He doesn’t speak English, but makes good use of Google Translate. The house is modern, newly built, very clean, and lavishly furnished, with an outdoor patio overlooking the village. It’s 2 km outside Batalha, so you need a car or taxi, but we didn’t regret the extra trip at all. Francisco even gave us laundry detergent for free. We were excited to have the modern villa to ourselves. Having only one bathroom wasn’t an issue for us, though I can imagine it could be harder if more people were staying.

The host brought fresh fruit and vegetables from the farm, which was a lovely touch. The villa is very nice and peaceful, with a fully equipped kitchen and plenty to do for adults and children, including video games, board games, snooker, and more. Highly recommended!

There’s a lovely view from this nice place, and the house has lots of games and entertainment. The landlord is a great, generous person.
