Monte do Mosteiro CountryHouse

The apartment gave us excellent value for the space, at €40 in April. We stayed in the three-bedroom apartment because the modern studio bungalows apparently weren’t available during our visit. It was a little rustic, but worked very well for a short stay. The living area could feel cramped with more than four people. It was quiet while we were there, though the property is outside town in an industrial area, so having a car is necessary. Service and location were both 7/10, cleanliness 9/10, room and facilities 8/10, and value 10/10. No breakfast was included. The overall rating was 8.2/10. The arrival process could be better. We were told to message from the gate, and did so 20 minutes ahead and again on arrival, but still waited another 10 minutes for it to open. After a long travel day, that was inconvenient. There wasn’t much introduction to the property or information about local activities either, and little traditional service beyond the basics. The apartment has different room setups, and the mattresses ranged from medium-firm to very soft. Two of the three bedrooms had air conditioning, but the other rooms didn’t. Hot water worked very well. The kitchen was usable but basic: coffee pods were supplied, but staples like oil and salt were missing.
