Debora was awesome, and I loved her recommendations. I went back for my second Torta this morning. The staff are the main reason I'd give five stars, though the rooms are quite nice looking and adequate. The beds were comfortable enough for me, though that's personal preference. There's good WiFi, a nice balcony, and a fridge in the room, which was a big bonus. The TV needs a fire stick for YouTube, but I brought one, so no problem. It's not very close to most tourist sights, about an hour's walk and quite demanding on older legs. An Uber was around 8 euro, which is reasonable, and there are plenty of lime bikes too. For the price, the distance is completely acceptable, and the neighborhood is nice. I'd definitely stay again.

The power outage exposed a serious safety failure. There was no lighting anywhere in the hotel, including the corridors, stairs, and bathrooms, and the emergency lights didn't work. With the lifts out too, it didn't feel safe to leave our room. We had to keep pushing for a relocation, which took several hours. No taxi was provided, so we walked for 30 minutes to Fenicius Charme Hotel, where we were relocated and had an amazing stay. Staff tried to apologize and said it wasn't the hotel's fault, but no manager came, leaving the receptionist to handle everything. The hotel should have had emergency lighting, and the whole building should have been evacuated. At first, we thought the hotel was perfectly adequate, with clean rooms and friendly staff, and that view hasn't changed. But when basic safety standards were needed, the hotel failed dramatically. We won't return to Hotel Canda. It's unfortunate, since the staff and rooms were good, but I can't believe they have no safety standards. One star overall.

A good stay overall, with friendly staff and the basics covered. My room and bathroom were quite small, but had what a traveller needs. The internet was occasionally slow, and the AC filter could use replacing. Those are minor complaints, though.

I've been staying in Lisbon hotels in this same area since 2016, and I loved my time at Hotel Canada. Nur and Mr Paulo were helpful and adjusted my stay when my flight plans changed. It's close to Saldanha Atrium shopping and the metro, and the room was clean and comfortable, with a balcony and bathtube. I'll come back when work brings me to Lisbon, and I also plan to stay here with my family. It may be a 2 stars hotel, but it feels like 4 stars. Thank you, Hotel Canada!

Deborah gave us such a warm welcome and was especially kind and attentive with our little baby. We really enjoyed our four nights here. The hotel is in a lovely neighborhood, just 50 meters from the metro, so getting around the city was easy. Our room was clean and quiet, with no noise from the street or neighboring rooms.
