Imperio Romano Guest House

So much care has gone into turning furniture into Roman-style pieces at this fabulous B&B in an amazing Roman palace. Ask Jorge to show you the before and after pictures.

The staff were friendly, and the location was great. Breakfast was nice, with bread, meats, cheese, sweet cake, and fruit. The beds are a bit hard, and the stairs to enter are steep.

The host, Jorge, speaks perfect English and replied to my Agoda messages about parking. We had a rental car and left it in the car park just outside the town castle, where parking is free and has no time limit. It took about 5-10 minutes to walk back through the streets with our luggage. On arrival, we called the number on the door; he came within five minutes, let us in, handed over the keys, and showed us around. We stayed for two days and followed the same routine each morning: Jorge came at the time we'd agreed and made us breakfast, which was really nice. It's a shared guest house with a kitchen, patio, and lounge, but the bedrooms lock and each family or group has its own assigned shower. We had the six-person family room, and no other families were staying while we were there. There's also a useful book in the lounge with ideas for things to do in Baja. A really nice stay with a great host.

The hosts were charming and friendly, and breakfast was tasty. This characterful place was incredibly clean and right in the centre of the old town.
