Staying in this restored 16th-century convent was incredible. Its historical depth, architecture, and views all made a huge impression on us. Dinner at the restaurant was fantastic too, especially the delicious local wild boar. We highly recommend this place.

The restaurant was the highlight for us. Its eight-course dinner, served with local wine, was a real treat, and the team handled every course perfectly. The chefs deserve special mention for their wonderful dishes. From reception to housekeeping, the staff were amazing and the hotel was impeccably run. The review comparing it to five-star service in a three-star hotel was spot on. We've eaten at some of the world's most expensive restaurants, and this team ranked among the best we've found.

We regretted not staying longer. It was one of our loveliest moments in Portugal. Driving up the mountainside, we hadn't expected such an exquisite destination. It felt historic but still relevant, with modern amenities in rooms that gave us a sense of stepping back in time. The restaurant was lovely, serving fresh food with a strong focus on local ingredients. Such a gem.
