We only booked one night, but the city and hostel felt so welcoming that we immediately added another. The staff were great, friendly, and helpful, and gave us useful ideas for things to do in and around town. Breakfast added to the homey feel. Everyone sat together at one table for a simple but nice meal, and it was a good chance to meet other guests and trade ideas for days in Braga. The hostel also has a fully equipped shared kitchen, living room, dining room, and balcony. It’s right in the city centre, close to both the bus and railway stations. It’s not the fanciest, trendiest, newest, or most spacious place, and some rooms may be a bit small. But it feels like a home. The rooms have themes, and there’s a lovely eye for detail, with little collections everywhere that never feel messy.

Anna and Hugo make a wonderful team, and the host and staff were so welcoming and hospitable. I stayed at Collector Hostel for a week in May and felt at home away from home. It’s the best hostel I’ve ever stayed in, without question, with beautiful antique-style decor. Breakfast was elegantly served and a lovely way to begin the day. I still miss the freshly squeezed orange juice. A big hug from Germany.

Right in the heart of Braga, with kind, helpful staff and owners who do all they can to make your stay pleasant. The hostel is clean, fairly quiet, and full of interesting collections. Breakfast is a nice continental spread, there are good cooking facilities, and the individual drawers have locks.

I spent a lovely time relaxing on the veranda in the sun, then watching films on the living-room projector. The hostel feels quaint and safe, right in the heart of Braga. Joana, Anna, and Cristina were all warm, helpful company. Breakfast is included, with fresh fruit salad, freshly pressed orange juice, yoghurt, bread, meat, and cheese.

It’s a small, welcoming hostel in Braga, but it never felt cramped like a lot of hostels can. The staff were really friendly and shared plenty of ideas for things to do while I was there. Breakfast being free was a nice extra.
