We arrived during the power outage across the Iberian peninsula, but check-in still went smoothly and we felt welcome. Joao kept us supplied with water and even offered us a couple of beers when we stopped in the common area during the day. That room was a great place to relax, with free tea and coffee and fresh baked goods each day. The owners were attentive even before our arrival and clearly wanted us to enjoy Braga. Our room was spotless and very comfortable, and Souto Guest House is right in the middle of town. A really welcoming place to stay for a few days.

We spent mornings planning the day in the shared room, where there was complimentary coffee, tea, water and cake. The owners were friendly and so helpful, with good tips on what to see and where to eat. Our room was clean and roomy. It's right in central Braga, but on a quieter little street with a nice cafe and restaurant just a few doors away. A lovely base for our getaway, and we'd happily come back. 😊

We were there over carnival weekend, and the host even brought us chocolates and port wine on the second day. Such a kind touch. The room on the first floor was spacious, clean and comfortable. At the back of that floor there's a shared room with tables, tea, coffee, biscuits, cakes, plates and glasses, so we could have breakfast or eat a delivery there. It overlooks the main shopping street. Street parking costs money between 8am and 8pm, I think, and you have to renew the ticket every two hours. There's also covered parking for around 18 euros. The center of Braga is beautiful, with incredible flower displays. Bom Jesus is about a 10-minute drive and well worth a visit. The host also recommended lots of places to eat. Jose at reception was so friendly and knew the area well. The room was comfortable, and the hotel is in a wonderful location that's easy to explore on foot. I'd definitely recommend it.

The host is what makes this place stand out, always doing their best to make your stay comfortable. The rooms are clean and nice, and everything in central Braga is close by. This is my favorite place to stay when I'm in the city. Highly recommended!
