Lucinda and Mario made us feel at home from the moment we arrived and were thoughtful about our comfort throughout the stay. Their tips for exploring the area were all spot on. Breakfast was a highlight, with different breads, homemade jams, fresh orange juice, and lovely coffee. We spent Easter week in this wonderful country house, where every room has its own character and charm. We’d love to return soon, especially in summer to enjoy the pool and garden. We cycled here and were glad to arrive in time for a swim. My two friends and I were warmly welcomed for our night in this lovely house, and the village was very quiet. We left wanting to come back!

The views are incredible, and the pool is wonderful. Lucinda is a fantastic host and clearly loves gardening. The grounds have hydrangeas, passionfruit, gardenias, and camellias, along with fruit trees and a vegetable patch. The house has five bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, set among green mountains. Even during a heatwave, we arrived to find it at 27 degrees Celsius. They also make wine from their vineyards, including a fantastic Vinho Verde. We’ll definitely be back!

We had such a lovely holiday here. The house has three nice bedrooms and all the comforts we needed, along with a beautiful garden and a superb pool. The owners were warm and welcoming, always available and attentive. I’d highly recommend renting it.

Guimaraes, Braga, Amarante, and Vila Real are all close by, and Porto is a bit farther but still doable as a day trip. The house is in a great part of northern Portugal. Lucinda and Mario were lovely from the first minute, making us feel at home with local tastings, an authentic breakfast, and recommendations for places to see nearby. It’s an old house with five rooms, full of charm and coziness. We’ll come back in summer to try that wonderful pool. Best wishes, Mario and Lucinda!
