Casa da Duna

The host was very nice, and the spot looks perfectly placed on the map, but in reality it’s in the beach parking lot. The building feels dark and gloomy, the interior is dull, and the rooms are basic with poor bedding. It was stuffy, with no air conditioning, and you have to rent a fan. At night it was unbearable. The shutters are tight, condensation drips, and sleeping with the window open is hard on the ground floor. Worse, there’s a smell like sewer mixed with cat urine that we couldn’t get rid of. Even with the bathroom door shut, it was terrible at night without a way to get a draft through. I’d avoid this place.

We often stop here on our travels because it’s such good value. The spot right beside the beach is a real plus. Facilities are basic but do the job, though it’s been quite crowded this summer as the place has grown popular.

For what it costs, this was a waste of money. There was just one toilet open, and it didn’t even have paper. The only showers were one indoors and one outdoors. You’d be better off staying in a parking lot.

There’s plenty of space here, and you can get electricity if you need it. The sandy beach is right next door. Toilets and a shower are available, plus there’s a bar on site and another across the way.
