In summer, I imagine this place would be much more comfortable. I visited in winter, and the rooms were so cold that I couldn't tolerate sleeping in them. The beds weren't comfortable either. It's a lovely old Portuguese house in a great location, but pretty basic, as other reviewers have said.

This worked well for the Camino, since the taxi boat is just one street away. The room had everything I needed, though it felt a bit small for me as a big guy at 1.86 m. The service was easy and really fine. Check-in took under five minutes, and everything was settled, so I could check out the next morning without having to let anyone know.

It's in a good location, but the house is noisy and the facilities were underwhelming. It was fine for a night's sleep, yet this has been the worst stop on our Camino so far. Try the hostel next door.

A friendly place to land on the Camino. You can do laundry, and there are restaurants nearby. The boats to A Guarda are close, as is the train station, just a few stops from Valença.

This quaint old Portuguese house is right by the river, close to the train station and next to a restaurant. The staff were very friendly, and the laundry facilities are free. It's good value for the price, especially since I've paid about the same to share a room with six people in albergues. It's a basic Camino stop with what you need, though expect to share a bathroom.
