Rinoterra Minho

We left Rinoterra Minho feeling recharged and already thinking about coming back. It's a peaceful place for a wellness break or a base for seeing northern Portugal, with beaches a short walk or bike ride away, historic Caminha, pine woods, mountains, and easy day trips over the border to Spain. Free bikes made getting around easy. From the rooftop terrace or garden you can take in the river and the distant Spanish hills. The food was a highlight. Breakfast had plenty of local produce, homemade jams, breads, and pastries. We arranged two dinners too, and loved the fresh garden ingredients and traditional Portuguese dishes with a refined touch. Everything tasted homemade and heartfelt. The wellness facilities include an outdoor pool, jacuzzi, Turkish spa, sauna, and treatment rooms. We had a couple of outstanding massages. There are also two different kinds of poolside and indoor relaxation to enjoy. Our room was spacious, beautifully designed, and spotlessly clean, with rustic Portuguese character mixed with modern luxury. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we had elegant furnishings, a private terrace with breathtaking views, underfloor bathroom heating, fresh fruit, homemade chocolates, and excellent amenities. The welcome felt personal from the start. Liliana and the team were attentive, friendly, and clearly cared about making the stay special, with warmth and professionalism that made us feel like family. The converted stone farmhouse sits on a peaceful hillside overlooking the River Minho and Caminha, and it feels like a private sanctuary where time slows down. It's luxurious without being stuffy and intimate without feeling crowded. One of the most delightful boutique hotel stays I've had. Highly, highly recommended, and thanks to the whole team for a memorable visit!

The team made our stay cosy and easy, with help whenever we needed it. We enjoyed delicious dinners and breakfasts, plus snacks during the day, and the spa and massage were lovely. This is a beautiful hotel run by a wonderful team, with great care and attention to detail throughout. We'll definitely be back.

I had lunch and dinner at the property, and both were excellent. Breakfast was plentiful too, with lots of homemade things like yogurt, granola, oats, and an egg dish. Guests can help themselves to tea, nuts, dried fruit, and cake during the day. The staff were professional and very accommodating. The rooms are extremely comfortable and private, and the grounds are beautifully landscaped with trees and flowering bushes. There are two outdoor pools and a larger indoor one in the spa. If you're traveling in Northern Portugal or want a peaceful getaway, I'd highly recommend Rinoterra. I'd make a special trip to stay here again.

The Aqua Bungalow had everything we needed, and the space was roomy and thoughtfully arranged. I especially liked the little coffee corner. We arrived to cherries and chocolates, which was such a warm welcome. It's quiet and peaceful, with a lovely large garden all around. Breakfast with that view made the mornings special. Everyone was kind and helpful, and the place was kept so clean and organized. We really felt at home and are grateful for such a lovely, unforgettable stay. Already looking forward to coming back soon.
