B&B Hotel Porto Centro Massarelos

I liked the shared space on the ground floor, with its pleasant view and coffee machine and microwave. It was a nice spot to work or study. The reception team were friendly and helpful, and everything in the hotel feels very new. The location is fairly quiet and a bit away from the center. We usually used Uber or bolt, and tourist spots were generally under 20 minutes away. I'm not sure how public transport is. There are restaurants and a shopping mall nearby. The morning drain smell was awful enough to wake me. Closing the bathroom door reduced it, but it still bothered me for about half an hour. The heating comes only from the air conditioning, so the wooden floor was really cold. I'd still choose that over carpet.

I liked my stay at B&B HOTEL Porto Centro Massarelos. It was in a quiet spot, with the metro close enough to make getting around easy. The room was modern and spacious, and had a large shower and a comfortable bed.

The young reception staff were pleasant and always ready to help. It's clearly a new, modern hotel, with comfortable mattresses and bedding. The simple, practical setup seems suited to young business travelers on short stays. Breakfast is served in the lounge. I would recommend the B&B hotel, though there's still room for the manager to improve how things are organized. Cleanliness was decent but not the best. There were a few stains left by previous guests, and the wastebasket was in the room on day one but missing on day two. I got one large towel and one small one on arrival, plus two bags with two towels each and a note asking us to use them only if really needed. I support the hotel's effort to protect natural resources, and I didn't need or use those extra towels. The next day, though, they had all been unpacked and put to use. So why the whole explanation about saving resources? There was also quite a bit of visible damage on the room doors and walls. I wonder what kind of guests they get.

The rooms were clean and the service was good, but there was a strange smell in the bathroom. The website says rooms have AC, but there isn't any.
