Roger was a fantastic host, always on hand with useful tips for enjoying the island. The spot is right by the sea and suits anyone looking for somewhere simple. It can get cold inside on chilly days, and if you want to cook, remember you’ll need to bring all the food yourself.

The house is really spacious and very well equipped, with a small studio style place in the same courtyard as the main house. It’s a peaceful spot right across from the sea, and the host was very friendly and easy to reach. Just wish there were blankets, since the duvets provided are very thin and the house gets quite cool.

I loved this choice. The rustic house is so welcoming, there are several swimming spots nearby, and the view across to Faial is wonderful. If I come back, I already know where I’ll stay!
