The Views Oasis - Family Friendly

We felt welcome from the beginning to the end of our stay. The team was friendly, professional, and always willing to help. The hotel was comfortable, had a warm atmosphere, and paid attention to the details that make a difference. I'd gladly return and would highly recommend it.

The restaurant was a real highlight for me. The locally inspired dishes were delicious and beautifully presented, from fresh seafood and exotic fruit to traditional Madeiran food. My ocean-view room had a plush, comfortable bed, and waking to the sound of waves was lovely. The staff were attentive and friendly, and made me feel among friends. The hotel sits right by the Atlantic, with breathtaking views, and its design fits naturally into the landscape. From check-in, I could tell it would be a treat. The buffet was amazing, and breakfast and dinner are both a must. The location and views beat everything else in the room. The room was clean, though the furnishings and facilities are a little outdated. There was also a great kids' play area and pool. It'd be even better if the scheduled events all ran as planned.

The sea-view room was spacious and good quality, and the seating around the hotel was comfortable and well kept. The pool and lounge bar staff were cheerful and gave excellent service. The main restaurant was very good overall, with excellent evening meals, though breakfast could be hit or miss. General cleanliness was good, but room cleaning each day was the worst I've experienced. The beds weren't made once, bathroom surfaces were never cleaned, and even leaving the door sign out didn't get the room cleaned. The corridors were dim, bare of artwork, and oppressive, almost like a prison I had to inspect. It wouldn't take much to make them brighter and improve how they feel.
