We had dinner at the gastronomic restaurant, and it was unforgettable. During our stay we celebrated my husband's 50th anniversary, and the hotel made it special with thoughtful attention, a beautiful cake, sparkling wine, and warm hospitality. We also want to thank the management team for their kindness. We missed our flight to Porto and arrived a day late, but instead of charging us for the no-show night, they generously gave us an extra night. That meant a lot to us. The room, food, service, and atmosphere were all perfect, with every detail feeling thoughtful and luxurious. The hotel's care and professionalism were exceptional. It made our trip to Porto truly special, and it was one of our best hotel experiences. We'd definitely return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Porto.

We came for a wedding and stayed two nights, though the hotel deserved a longer visit. The view from our private patio was breathtaking and unforgettable, and the overall design had so much elegance and character. The bed was extremely comfortable and generously sized, possibly a California King. Staff were gracious and attentive, and the spa added a lot to the stay. I wish we'd tried their two-Michelin-star restaurant, though I believe the same chef made the wedding's delicious seven-course meal. Easily one of the most exquisite hotels I've experienced.

The little touches made the hotel feel special, from the music and fragrance in the corridors to a freshly made-up room twice a day. The food was impressive too, especially the Michelin restaurant. We had a lovely evening there with a view over the city skyline. Most of all, the staff made the stay. They were warm, helpful, knowledgeable and professional, and stayed that way even when some guests didn't seem to appreciate their efforts. You can see how much work goes into maintaining a large luxury hotel, and I couldn't fault the place, from the paintwork to the carpets. We'll be back soon.

The spa experience ended on such a lovely note with the afternoon tea, put together by Chef Ricardo Costa and his kitchen team. It was included with my spa experience, beautifully presented and delicious. Katherina, whose name I hope I've spelled right, kindly guided me through a wonderful selection of teas. She was so attentive and warm. Thank you to the whole team for a truly delightful afternoon. It was the perfect finish to a magical day I'll remember.

We went to The Yeatman in Porto for a long December weekend in 2025, mainly to attend its full-day wine event. With more than 100 producers from across Portugal, it felt like a celebration of Portuguese wine, not just a tasting, and was absolutely worth planning a trip around if you love wine. There was food everywhere: roughly 40 square meters for cheese, another 40 for cured meats and local salami, a huge olive oil section, and about 100 square meters of sweets and desserts. Live stations kept the day lively, with fresh francesinha, steak, seafood, oysters opened on the spot, and plenty of other treats. It was a warm, vibrant escape from a cold European December. The hotel is stunning, with lovely views of Porto, and everyone on staff was friendly and welcoming. It's also easy to walk to the parts of the city you'd want to explore. If wine, good food and memorable experiences are your thing, both the event and The Yeatman are worth considering.
