Ericeira Atlantic Guest House

I booked four days, liked the place so much after the first that I added another night. The outdoor pool area is lovely, with a wide open sea view. The kitchen is well equipped and the dining area is roomy, and the welcome basket in the room was a very nice surprise. The location is about a 15-minute walk from Praia da Luz and 20 minutes from the town center. I didn’t miss having a reception desk, since WhatsApp service was always quick and effective at sorting out any issues. Telmo from management and Sara from housekeeping were both welcoming and friendly whenever we needed anything. I was especially impressed that Sara put guests’ dirty dishes in the dishwasher, though I feel each person should take responsibility for cleaning and tidying the shared spaces after use. A few things could be improved: the rooms need better soundproofing, the shared areas should be cleaned more often when occupancy is high, and an outdoor drying rack for towels and beach clothes would be useful.

The welcome basket was outstanding, and getting help through WhatsApp was excellent. It’s compact but has everything you need, with parking right outside. The beach and town are both fairly close.

We had a great stay at this modern, new hotel, and everything was very clean. The staff were kind and attentive, and the rooms were spotless. Thanks especially to the housekeeper, Esmeralda. We loved relaxing in the jacuzzi and looking out at the sea. The manager said they plan to add a swimming pool and a lovely garden next year. The value for money was excellent, and I have nothing but praise. We’ll definitely come back in the years ahead!
