Casa Colmeia in Carvoeiro

We left on the fourth night after arriving in cold, wet weather to find the house damp and freezing, with the underfloor heating completely out. No checks had been done before our month-long stay. We were told it would be fixed the next day, but the engineers couldn't reach the pump because the owner had locked it. After three freezing nights, we were told nothing would happen until after the weekend. The remaining nights were refunded, but they kept the payment for the nights when the house was uninhabitable. Legal action is pending. The older owner next door was creepy and did little to help, seeming mostly interested in profiting from our misery. Avoid Casa Colmeia at all costs!
