A lovely welcome at this hidden gem just a stone's throw from Cascais. From my bedroom balcony, I could see the garden where birds come by. The building has a history to tell, and it's been kept up to date with quiet elegance and good taste. Highly recommend.

The owners were warm and helpful, and the shared kitchen had everything needed to prepare meals. It was a quiet, comfortable stay for a reasonable price, with all the necessary room conveniences. I’d read comments about dogs barking, but didn’t experience that myself. The complimentary port and sweets in the communal lounge were a nice touch. I’d happily stay again.

We only stayed four days, but it was easy to relax and enjoy the trip here. Though it’s called a hostel, it’s really a villa, with a lovely garden, swimming pool, balcony and kitchen. The service was very good, and the woman who takes care of everything was genuinely kind and friendly. Thanks for a wonderful time at Cascais jasmine Doce.

The upper terrace has a lovely view over Cascais, and the place itself is beautiful. The rooms feel private, the beds are comfortable, and everything was very clean. It is quite a way from the town center, though, about eight minutes by car, or around €4 in an Uber.

If you want somewhere quiet, this isn't it. They recently got a dog, and it barks incessantly, apparently left on its own and neglected. When I brought it up, I was asked, “What do you want me to do about it?”
