Cascais Seaside Duplex - 200m from the beach!

The location is excellent, within walking distance of everything in Cascais, with the beach and train station both about five minutes away. It’s very good value compared with other places nearby. I’m really glad I stayed here, and it deserves a better score. After I left another property because of the noise at night, a very friendly receptionist helped me find a quiet room, just as I’d asked. If quiet matters to you, mention that you don’t want a street-facing room when booking. I could leave the window open for air and didn’t hear a thing. The view was pretty grim, but the room itself was modern, clean, bright, and spacious, with a comfortable bed, excellent shower, nice shampoo and conditioner, a good hairdryer, full-length mirror, lots of English TV channels on a large screen, and a fridge. The housekeeping team deserves a special mention. My room was cleaned to a very high standard every day. I’d often leave early with the sign on the door, and return an hour later to find it immaculate. Their attention to detail was exceptional. The owner or manager was kind too. One day I interrupted the staff’s lunch, but they couldn’t have been nicer and even invited me to join them. A few minor things could be improved: I would have liked shower gel, and there were small stains or marks on the walls, a rusty toilet-brush holder, and lumpy pillows. These seem easy to fix.
