We were on the eighth floor for eight nights, in a new, spacious room with a fantastic view over Cascais bay. The kitchen had everything we needed to make breakfast, and with a bus stop right in front and a supermarket on the other side of the building, getting around was convenient. The building itself is old, as other reviews have mentioned. We were told Olala Homes is working to improve the guest experience, especially the shared spaces and lifts. Customer service was outstanding, with very quick replies whenever we got in touch.

Beautiful views and a great location. The suite was comfortable, clean and thoughtfully designed, and the communication and check-in went smoothly.

We could only sleep from 1:30 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. The main bedroom is right beside the elevator shafts, and the noise was the worst part of our stay. The agency offered no concession and said they didn’t know about the issue, despite several online reviews mentioning it. We hadn’t seen those reviews beforehand. We stayed in the Penthouse. The view was the only good thing about the apartment, which is in a run-down former hotel complex in a bad area. The drains smelled terrible, the carpets were stained and the kitchen equipment was poor. There’s no longer lounge furniture on the terrace, only uncomfortable metal furniture, and they couldn’t provide pillows or cushions when we asked. It was a terrible experience, and we’d never book through Olala Homes again.

We didn’t feel safe there. The place was small and unwelcoming, with a tiny elevator and smoky-smelling hallways. It wasn’t what I expected.
