Sheraton Cascais Resort - Hotel & Residences

We spent New Year’s Eve at the Sheraton with a friend and had a really great time. The food was delicious, service was 10 out of 10, and the New Year’s package was well worth it. I was very satisfied with the experience and would definitely recommend the Sheraton to anyone looking for somewhere nice to celebrate.

The kids’ play area was nice, but the large tent was always locked, and I assumed it was meant to be a kids’ club. At breakfast nobody checked in with us, offered coffee, or asked if we wanted eggs. We had to go looking for someone. The pool wasn’t heated, towels had to be picked up at the lobby desk, and poolside food wasn’t available until after 12:30. I also saw around 40 people in the lobby watching the football match. The bathrooms weren’t any better than at home, and a metal bar took up a lot of space in the bathtub. The restaurants were very expensive, and the Asian one didn’t particularly interest me. This hotel has the things you’d expect from a 5-star resort, but I left feeling there wasn’t anything special about it.

Our family found it easy to unwind here. The calm pace, ocean air, and lovely surroundings made the days feel effortless, and the sunsets over the Atlantic were especially magical. Cascais had a warm, serene atmosphere, with coastal charm and resort comfort that made it easy to spend time together and disconnect. A memorable balance of nature, style, and family comfort.

The bidet was dirty, full of feces when we arrived, and our room wasn’t serviced on two days. On top of that, drilling went on right above our ceiling for two straight days, sounding like a jackhammer. They already knew construction had been booked but never had the courtesy to warn us. We called reception several times to say it was too much, even though they knew. We were told we could move to a two-room option, but we had paid for and needed three rooms.
