The owners and staff were so welcoming and attentive, and we loved the pool. We spent three nights at Quinta do Castanheiro with our car and tent, two adults, a toddler, and a dog. There’s a playground, the toilets and showers were clean, and the location was good. We had a great time and would definitely recommend it.

A small family run place, and everyone was friendly and helpful. The trees give the campsite lovely shade, and the pool feels cozy. There’s a little bar, plus fresh bread you can order for the morning. The city is an easy 10-15 minute walk away. Thanks, hope to see you again. 🤘🏼 — Cardoso

The owner was attentive, helped us find a plot, and checked in regularly to see how things were going. You can tell a lot of care goes into keeping this campsite a good place for families. We spent three nights here in a tent with our young family, in a beautiful rural setting with countryside access, several rivers to swim in, and little villages to visit. We’d happily stay again and recommend it to others.

This was a highlight of my motorcycle trip around Portugal and Spain. The campsite is run brilliantly by a really hospitable Dutch couple. I’ll come back one day. Highly recommended.

The owners are lovely and welcoming, and make you feel like part of the family. We stayed in the six person tent house, which was very clean, tidy, and spacious, with its own toilet. My son said it felt like a tree house. There’s a sitting area outside with a sofa, and another sofa inside. Breakfast has lots of choice, and you can preorder it, which I recommend. It’s continental, and you can order eggs too. If you want camping vibes with good conditions, book this kind of tent in advance. 🤩
