A special place, and one of the most beautiful spots I’ve visited in the Douro Valley 🙏

The night sky was incredible for stargazing, and the pool was clean. For our first trip to Portugal, a large group of friends and their children had an amazing stay. The house suited us perfectly, with spacious, welcoming shared areas, and a kids’ play table was brought in when we asked. Miguel, the owner and booking contact, arranged winery tours and boat trips for us, which made everything easy. The views were immaculate, and the chef cooked us excellent Portuguese food. We especially enjoyed the port-braised duck and octopus, and we finished every evening with dessert and café. We’re already planning to come back.

We were ten friends, but the villa never felt crowded. It was beautifully decorated while still comfortable and welcoming for a big group, and the grounds were kept lovely. Miguel and his staff were attentive and gracious throughout, making sure we had what we needed. The chef’s meals were delicious, too. It was possibly the most beautiful and accommodating Airbnb villa I’ve stayed in, a total dream trip. I didn’t want to leave, and I’d love to return one day. Ten out of ten, highly recommend.

Miguel helped arrange great activities and was available to answer all our questions. Our family group, from ages 2 to 73, was well looked after in this beautiful, well-equipped, comfortable villa. The chef was wonderful, and the food and service were lovely, especially the delicious breakfasts. A stunning location, it made for a perfect holiday.
