We booked Casas do Regato hoping for a quiet countryside break. My wife and I rarely get to travel without our young daughter, so we were really looking forward to relaxing. Instead, it was a disaster and one of the worst stays I’ve had. A wedding party played loud music through the night, making sleep almost impossible. I finally nodded off around 5am, then wedding guests arrived at the casas at 7am, shouting and honking their horns. Nobody mentioned the event when I booked. In a courtesy call afterward, they confirmed they have a licence for music until 5am.
