The house itself is in a spectacular setting, which makes this especially disappointing. During our three-night stay, we went without hot water for two of the nights. The owner said the boiler trouble had started with the guests before us. An electrician came only on the second evening and didn't fix it. Hot water returned on day three, after they switched to the mains supply instead of water from the owners' nearby spring. The owners seemed willing to try to sort things out, but didn't think any compensation was warranted, whether a partial refund, one night's cost back, or a future night. When we asked, they appeared indifferent to the disruption. At €300 a night, treating two thirds of a stay without hot water as acceptable says a lot about what to expect: when things go well, great; when they don't, apparently it just happens. Looking around the rest of the house, it seems less like a one-off lapse and more like ongoing maintenance is lacking. Sinks clog when too much water goes down, the hot tub doesn't work, only two of the five burners on the old stove work, and water pressure is very low in the auxiliary house, along with a few smaller issues. None of these makes the house unusable, but they do give a clear impression. It's a shame because the place is lovely. I have an Airbnb myself, and when a problem comes up, I take responsibility, try to fix it right away, or compensate or rehouse the guest if I can't.

So quiet, with nature all around, and just right for switching off and recharging. We had a lovely stay and will definitely return. A little swimming pool would make it feel like paradise. Thanks for such a wonderful time, Nathalie. We'll happily recommend it.

All six of us had such a good three-night stay in this idyllic place that we'd love to come back one day. The house deserves 20 out of 10, if you ask me. The only possible drawback is the access ramp. We visited in autumn, when the area was spectacular, though I imagine summer is even better with more activities open.

Wonderful experience, such a paradise-like place. I'd recommend it to families, couples, and friends.
