The Quinta is a beautiful place, with forest around it, a peaceful pool area, and incredible views over the Douro River Valley. It’s serene and full of character. We’re so grateful we could share it with the people we love. We spent an unforgettable wedding weekend at Quinta do Mirante with family and friends staying on the property. Michel and Jacqueline were warm, gracious, and fun to talk with, and clearly cared about making the occasion special. Their communication was impeccable from the start, and they looked after every guest throughout the weekend. They helped arrange transport and shared local recommendations, creating a place where everyone could relax and connect. The wedding rehearsal dinner at the Quinta was magical: a traditional Portuguese meal overlooking the valley, with the setup, food, and coffee afterward all handled beautifully. It felt effortless because Michel and Jacqueline were quietly making sure everything went smoothly.

We’re six friends from across the world, and this is one of those places we’ll never forget. The owners thought of everything to make our stay comfortable, enjoyable, and fun. When we had a health crisis, they were there to help and support us, and I’ll always be grateful for that. Jacqueline and Michel, thank you for sharing your Quinta with us.

There are lovely places to eat together, share a glass of wine, read, swim, or take a short evening walk to the Mirante or forest. The views are amazing, and kids can play freely with something new to discover. We stayed for a week with our whole family, and Quinta do Mirante was a perfect escape from the city. Michel and Jacqueline suggested activities and places to visit, though we were happy not to leave the Quinta. We’ll definitely come back with family or friends. Thank you!

The rooms are comfy and modern, with a spacious kitchen and living room. There are plenty of places to walk, read, or have a good conversation, and the views from the pool are especially beautiful. There’s even a forest right behind the house. Jaquelin and Michel were the best hosts I’ve met, attentive and wise, but young in spirit. An incredible, peaceful place in the Douro valley. It feels secluded, yet Castelo de Paiva is very close by. Highly recommended.
