In My House

The accommodation was miserable and nowhere near worth the price. I got a room in an annex with no basic comfort. There was even a hidden door behind rotten wardrobes leading to another room and apparently outside as well. Noise from the water pressure in the hot water tank kept me from sleeping. Nothing seemed properly clean, toilet paper was hard to find, and towels were too. Don't be fooled by the pool pictures: its water circulation was stopped and the water was dirty. One star only because zero stars aren't an option.

The bed was quite comfortable, and I had no complaints about cleanliness. Staff were welcoming and friendly. We stayed one night while passing through, and in the 39°C August heat, the pool was a real treat. We ate dinner outside at a table by the pool, which was great. Being able to park our motorcycles inside gave us peace of mind. If I travel the N2 again, I'd happily stay here.

A peaceful spot where the kids can have fun in the pool while the adults relax. The kitchen is practical for making a few things for the family, and there's a fridge. Our host was very attentive and friendly.

The clean house is nicely located near the town center, but we had issues with the sleeping arrangements and bedding. The owner speaks only Portuguese, and a misunderstanding meant we didn't realize her offer was for six people in two rooms, with two single beds in each. Since it was late and we knew we couldn't find another place, we made do by pushing the beds together and sleeping three to a room. We weren't given extra towels or pillows. At payment, the owner said she wanted to make us an offer because two beds were missing. We later found the offer was €60 above the basic price. Still, we appreciated that she honestly refunded part of our money after we pointed it out. The sheets and beds generally weren't clean, though the house itself was.
