I’ve never reviewed a hotel before, but this is the best one I’ve ever stayed at. It’s cozy, modern, really clean, and has a Scandinavian feel. Just right for a few days away.

We only stayed one night at Casa da Fonte de Cima, but had a wonderful time. Aristides and his wife made us feel very welcome. If you enjoy peace and quiet, I’d definitely recommend staying here.

The welcome here is exceptionally warm, and I’d recommend trying the delicious breakfast. The hosts have renovated the building with real charm, creating a very relaxing atmosphere. It’s in the Portuguese countryside, about 30 minutes from Guimarães, so somewhat off the beaten path. A truly charming place!

We stayed in “Passadiços do Encanto,” with two excellent bedrooms, a well-equipped kitchen, a very comfortable living room and a large balcony facing the pool. It was a special experience for me and my two children. The natural surroundings of Celorico de Basto brought an immediate sense of calm, a welcome break from everyday life. The house has been renovated with great taste and refinement, keeping its original character while adding clear attention to comfort and modernity. Everything feels coherent and thoughtfully fitted together. Breakfast was another highlight: fresh scrambled eggs with bacon and pancakes made to order, all delicious. The hospitality was attentive and always available without being intrusive. It’s a place you want to linger in and come back to. We certainly will!
