The room was VERY clean, and the staff were welcoming, kind, and helpful. Right in the middle of the city centre, the location couldn't be better. It was my best stay in Portugal, with a very good standard. If I return to coimbra, I'll choose this hotel again.

The place has a calm feel, and it's very clean, including the dining hall. The facilities are good, and the room gets cleaned regularly. Anna and her colleagues are kind and good people, and they're always available, which matters a lot. I was satisfied with my stay and strongly recommend it. Thanks.

The receptionist was very friendly and helpful, and the service was top. The building is very old, though, and my room was tiny. I've stayed in lots of hostels at gas stations along the road that were much better than this.

I wouldn't recommend Residencial Gouveia at all. The staff were extremely unfriendly, rude, and unprofessional, especially the man on the phone, as other reviews have said. I don't think they're trustworthy. If they want to keep hosting visitors to lovely Coimbra, they seriously need to improve their customer service.

Quiet and clean, and close to everything. I highly recommend it.
