The observatory is a must for the scenery, and it's worth taking your time for a hike. It's also where one of the most difficult stages of the Tour of Portugal ends. The pool was lovely and relaxing, and the spa looked great, though I didn't use it. I gave the hotel 4 stars mainly for dinner. The food, including the produce and meat, was delicious, and the service was great. The rooms were small, though, and with no bathroom door you can hear your partner doing their business. Our room got really warm around 3 am. Still, it was worth the stay.

Breakfast was really good, and the staff, especially there, were friendly and lovely with our daughter. The restaurant is very good too. Room 108 was huge and beautifully decorated, but it was cold because the heating didn't work. Even with an extra electric heater, it stayed quite chilly. The smoke detector blinked above the bed all night, and the mattress was really hard and uncomfortable. It's a very nice hotel, but it needs some fine-tuning to justify the price.

The receptionist took the time to plan our whole trip for the next day, and the recommendations made it memorable and easy. That thoughtful help summed up how caring and attentive the staff were throughout our stay. It was an incredible honeymoon. Our room had flowers and a bottle of champagne waiting for us, and the hotel was spotless. We can't thank the staff enough for making it so special. We'd highly recommend it to anyone after a luxurious, unforgettable stay.

The location is good, right in central covilhã, and the staff were attentive and ready to help. At the restaurant, the waiter was great with suggestions and wine choices, and the service was lovely. The food was just okay, though: they seemed to be aiming high with the dishes, but the basics still need work. The fish was too raw, and the veal cheeks were tender but too greasy. The biggest reason I wouldn't return is the heating. In winter, the rooms only had hot air conditioning, with no way to open a window or anything similar, which made it awful for sleeping. Reception couldn't offer a solution. They say there are charging stations, but there was only one and it needed to be reserved in advance. Staff kindly let us park across the way and use a wall plug, but it was neither fast nor practical. They should make this clear when people book. For both the hotel and restaurant, the price didn't match the quality. I expected more.
