Beachouse - Surf, Bed & Breakfast

For a peaceful stay just above Ericeira, this place is hard to beat. It’s a short walk to a beautiful beach, with a lovely rooftop pool and cozy rooms for a small number of guests. The setting is calm, and the staff are incredibly welcoming. Diana, Ana and Marlies made sure our stay was unforgettable.

Diana gives the house a family feel, while still leaving you plenty of privacy to enjoy the quiet ocean coast. She also has great local tips if you want them. The house is lovingly looked after and very clean, and there’s tasty breakfast with fresh fruit and cakes available all day. I’m already looking forward to visiting Beachouse again.

Diana, the manager, was wonderful and helped with every request. She even lent me her own hand weights, which I loved using by the rooftop pool at sunrise during my four-night stay. Breakfast was incredible, with fresh orange juice, cereals, breads, pastries, homemade cakes and biscuits, some vegan, plus homemade jams and nut butter. Everyone and everything made it feel like a home away from home. The beach is a 10-minute walk, and you can hire electric fat bikes in town to ride for miles along the coast. One thing to keep in mind is the busy road right beside the guesthouse. It was hard for me, since I’m used to peaceful nature at home, though the double glazing works well with the doors and windows shut. I imagine most guests will be out exploring during the day. I really recommend this sweet Beachouse Guesthouse.

I only spent one night here and wished I could have stayed longer. It’s a cozy house, about a 12-15 minute walk from the surf beach, which didn’t feel far. The bed was so comfortable, the best sleep I’ve had in Portugal so far, and the shower was lovely and warm. It had all the amenities I wanted. Breakfast was delicious too, with a Nespresso machine and fresh-squeezed orange juice. Great place, I’ll come back.
