Casa das Aguarelas

Paula and Jose are lovely owners, and the room was sweet and comfortable, with a partial ocean view. The place feels authentic while also having been thoughtfully updated. The location was perfect, and I'd definitely come back.

Susana at the desk was wonderful, and the room was large, with a separate breakfast seating area and a pleasant sun porch. There were more outlets than I've seen in a hotel, B&B, or vacation rental in ages, including one on each side of the bed and several by the dining area. The ocean front is just steps away. The stairs up to the rooms are fairly steep, and parking is challenging, though possible.

Susanna at reception was friendly and helpful, and our last-minute room was spotless, with a good-sized bathroom and a very large shower. It's a lovely, clean, convenient little place, just down a side street from the beach road. My only complaint is that although there's a small fridge, there was no water provided and nowhere in the room or elsewhere to make tea or coffee. For the price, even in high season, I think a bottle of water and a tea and coffee station should be included. I'd stay again, though.

The sea is just around the corner, and the woman at reception was very nice. Our room was so spacious and clean it almost felt like a little flat. It was a cozy hotel, and everything worked perfectly for our short three-day stay.
