Ericeira Camping

We stayed one night, and it was easy to see why the campsite was nearly empty. The staff were incredibly unfriendly, and we weren't allowed to pick our own pitch. The facilities were poor: the showers switched off every few minutes, so you'd have to run out naked to turn the light back on. There were no mirrors, either. We also needed a second electricity adapter. The receptionist wouldn't lend us one for a fee and would only sell it for €17. When we asked for a refund because we couldn't use the power, she refused. Other guests we spoke to felt the same. It wasn't worth the price or the attitude.

The service was terrible, and the price wasn't justified. We stayed one night, and at check-in the woman asked if we had the right electricity adapter. We said we did, then later realized we needed two of the same kind. She wouldn't lend us another and said we had to buy one for €17. We didn't get a refund for the electricity we couldn't use. The showers shut off every three minutes, so you have to run out naked to turn the light on again. There were no mirrors, the facilities were outdated, and nobody showed any flexibility. Never again.

The motorhome pitches are fairly spacious, but the area is noisy and dusty, with small pebbles on the ground. My TV antenna couldn't pick up any channels, and there was no TV coverage. Hot water in the shower seemed to be a matter of luck. The price is absurdly high, the park is poorly maintained, and I won't return.

We paid 800 euros for a week in a one-bedroom bungalow, accommodation only. For the condition it was in, that seemed far too expensive. There was trash and hair on the floor, spider webs all over, a toilet that didn't work properly, and a partly broken shower head coming apart. The spring mattress was extremely worn and uncomfortable, the TV picture was barely visible, and the lighting was terrible. The campsite does have a lot of potential to improve.
