The owners live on site but are very discreet, and as a friendly Portuguese couple they gave us useful tips for restaurants and walking tracks nearby. The gardens are lovely and well cared for, and the house has been thoughtfully decorated with centuries old design furniture. We had a wonderful time at Quinta de Pias, enjoying those marvellous views over the River Douro. There's lots of room for groups of up to ten people, and a visit here is a must. We'll definitely be back.

The house is great for a few lovely days with family, with plenty of space to cook and have fun. There's a good supermarket nearby. We found the kitchen well equipped for cooking, with functional appliances, an oven, and an outdoor grill. There are large tables inside and out, plus several outdoor areas including a lounge, balconies, and porches, and a pleasant pool. The house is spacious and has fantastic views. A very friendly woman welcomed us and was always available.
