Montelirio Hotel

The suite was fantastic, and parking was included. It's a fairly small hotel but has all the services you might need. It's close to a shopping center and the beach, though you'll need a car to reach the city center. Restaurant food was good, and the serving staff were pleasant and professional. I stayed three nights, and the menu was unchanged each day. There were several main course choices, but only two starters.

We were happy with the breakfast selection, and the staff were super friendly. The rooms were clean and modern, with a balcony and everything we needed. The location was better than expected: the sea is about a 10-15 minute walk away, and there's a supermarket very close by. We'd definitely stay here again if we return to Espinho.

The service was the best part. Everyone was wonderful, friendly and always trying to meet our needs. The rooms are very spacious too. It's a five-minute walk to the beach, and a great supermarket is just steps away.

The bathroom was roomy, with a good-sized shower, amazing water pressure and some cute free toiletries. The room itself was clean, calming, modern, comfortable and spacious, simply but beautifully decorated. Big sliding patio doors opened onto a generous balcony with a table and chairs. Breakfast was my only complaint. For something not included in the price, it was very basic. No hot food, just a standard continental spread with Portuguese pastries, cakes and cheeses. They really should have soy milk, it's 2021 lol. As a vegan I still managed a filling breakfast with muesli, juice, fruit, plenty of bread and coffee. There's an outdoor pool too, but the cold weather meant I couldn't try it. Next time!
