EVOLUTION Cascais-Estoril Hotel

There’s lots of space, attractive design, and a smart layout in this brand new hotel. The bathroom has some quirky details, including two showers with a view through the wardrobe. Breakfast was good, and there’s a rooftop pool. It’s definitely good value for money.

A favourite of ours. The hotel is new and in great condition, with stunning views and a perfect base for visiting Estoril and Cascais. Amenities include a gym with a huge ocean view, an indoor pool, and an outdoor rooftop pool.

The rooftop has amazing views and sunset, but the food was the worst I’ve ever had. It was overpriced, the selection was terrible, and the cooking was poor. My lamb shank arrived alone in a silver dish with watery gravy, without even a garnish. The chips were so overfried and crunchy they were inedible. I was deeply embarrassed because I was entertaining guests. The hotel itself is well located, and the rooms are okay and clean.

I stayed at the hotel on 1.02.2026. I used to love coming here and visit often, but this time the standard was much lower, and I won’t return. The bathhouse was turned off at 19:30 and wasn’t working on heat. During spa hours, the sauna temperature was below 45 degrees. The room was shabby, with no complimentary item this time, though there used to be one. I couldn’t find spa staff at reception to come up and ask a question. There were no bowls for nuts anymore, only napkins. The room walls were worn and covered in black streaks, and there was someone else’s hair in the shower and toilet area. The seals had mould and clearly weren’t fresh. The hair conditioner was completely empty. Who would want to rest in a hotel with service and cleanliness like this? That’s a rhetorical question. In my opinion, the standard is very low.
