There’s a good-sized pool, a gym, and a sports and games room. The station is a five-minute walk away, and there’s a Spar supermarket about as close. Each room has a small kitchen, so you can stay on a BnB basis or stock up and cook. You can also buy prepared meals to heat in the room. Breakfast has a nice selection, and you can order drinks and snacks at reception around the clock. A lovely hotel, with really friendly, helpful staff.

We had a really enjoyable New Year’s Eve break here with my nine-year-old son. The apartment was bigger than I expected and had everything we needed to be comfortable. The reception team were friendly throughout and always available for questions. When we arrived, they gave us maps and useful local information. Breakfast was fresh with enough choice for both of us, and the coffee was great and available on request. Food was topped up regularly. It runs from 7:30 to 10:00, and seating can get busy near closing, so I’d go early. I’d happily recommend the place to solo travellers and families.

The rooms feel a little dated, but they’re very comfortable. The shower was hot and had great water pressure. Breakfast was excellent, and the service was really friendly. The staff were lovely and helpful throughout.

Monte Estoril was a peaceful place to spend a holiday, with very little traffic on the surrounding streets and a quiet, almost private oasis around the hotel. Our room was spacious and clean, and the balcony looked out over the garden and pool. The pool bar was closed since it was off-season, though the pool was still open for swimming. We loved Clube do Lago, its location, and Angar, the sushi restaurant downstairs. I’d definitely recommend staying here.
