Sao Mamede Estoril Hotel

There's an awful smell throughout the building. I don't know what it is, but it's really strong. The toilet leaks, and breakfast is just one kind of ham, one kind of cheese, eggs, and that's it.

The good points were breakfast, which was fantastic, and how close the hotel is to the beach. You can park outside if you pay by the hour. The room looked nothing like the pictures on Booking. The furniture and bathroom were quite old, one lamp was broken, and there weren't any other room lights, so we had to use the bathroom light. Our view was of an old neighboring building. We asked to move, but the receptionist said the hotel was full. We only saw one woman and two couples there, and it still looked possible to book a room for the same day through Booking, so we didn't believe it was full.

I especially liked the warm, cozy feel during a cold January visit. The location was great for exploring the area, and the amenities were top-notch. My room was spotless, comfortable, and had everything I needed to relax. From the minute I arrived, the staff were welcoming and attentive. I had a wonderful stay, highly recommend it, and can't wait to come back.

The hotel itself was nice, but Marcos really made the service stand out. He was welcoming and friendly, which is why I'm giving five stars. One small suggestion: they could provide shampoo and those little room essentials.
