Heather greeted us late at night with a huge smile and a lovely welcome bag: wine, water, cake and other treats. There was milk and a few other things in the fridge too. We loved the Lavender cottage. It looked just like the pictures, with plenty of space and everything clean. The kitchen had all we needed, and there was enough room to park. The peaceful hillside, lovely view and outdoor pool made it a perfect stay.

The owner is so friendly and has plenty of useful information for guests. A perfect place to stay on Madeira.

We’ve come back for a fourth visit, which says a lot about these lovely cottages. Heather is always welcoming, and everything is kept clean and tidy. It’s a peaceful spot on a hillside with the sea in the distance, ideal for relaxing outdoors or setting off to explore the island.

Such a quiet place, with a pool, parking and space for a BBQ. The apartment was lovely and well equipped, and the view was beautiful. The host was kind and incredibly helpful. Definitely a place to go.

Heather always makes us feel welcome and is around whenever we need advice or a hand. This was my third stay at Banda Do Sol, and the accommodation was immaculate again. The kitchen had even more equipment than mine at home. I’m already checking dates to book a cottage for next year.
