Sharish - Monte Das Estevas

The pool made a strong impression, with its view across the landscape in that infinity pool style. It's small, 1.1 to 1.4 metres deep, but suits the house well and is heated using a natural, sustainable source. We had a wonderful stay at Sharish with my wife and our three-month-old. Alexandra and Miguel were great hosts and did everything they could to make us feel welcome and comfortable. They can point you to nearby restaurants for lunch or dinner, since Sharish doesn't serve those meals regularly, and the local food is very good. Our room had a large, comfortable bed, a big TV, and a spacious bathroom with a good walk-in shower and towel warmer. Automatic blinds on the several windows can black out the room, and the soundproofing was excellent. The large main window looks out to the pool and surrounding landscape, and also opens as a door to the pool. Each room has a small balcony with chairs and a sofa, which gave us a shaded place to sit with our newborn. The guest area of this recently built Rural House is modern, with quaint decor that suits traditional Alentejo style. There are horses, goats, dogs and a cat around the house. The dogs and cat are sociable, and the horses and goats have a proper paddock. Each guest room also has shaded parking. Breakfast was made up of regional and traditional foods, including bread, cheese, cold cuts, chorizo, fruit, yogurt, fresh juice, coffee, honey and different jams. The selection depends on what's in season, and the quality was very good. We'll surely return to Sharish. Thanks for everything, Alexandra and Miguel.
