This was my second stay at the hotel, and the room was fabulous, with a lovely balcony and a sitting area. I really enjoyed the massage, and the spa is amazing, with a heated pool, jacuzzi, Turkish bath, and sauna. The breakfast is one of the best I’ve had. I also really like the bartender upstairs. He knows a lot about wine and the different regions, and kindly put up with my not-so-great Portuguese while I practiced speaking and learning the language.

I wish we'd booked more nights. The location made it easy to walk into the heart of Évora, and dinner at Degusta'R was amazing. I'd definitely try the tasting menu. We were there for my birthday with family, and the room was clean, spacious, and beautiful, with high ceilings, white finishes, traditional details, and a modern feel. The basement was being renovated, but the pool was still open and the water felt warm and pleasant. Évora, you've got my heart, thanks to M'AR De AR!

The indoor pool was lovely. It was too cool to try the outdoor one, though it looked very good too. Breakfast was very good, and the staff there were lovely. Everyone we met was friendly and helpful. I'd highly recommend this hotel.

Traveling with a child, we really appreciated the little extras: kids' toiletries, a coloring book and crayons, cookies, and small hotel slippers. The room was spacious and comfortable, with nice attention to detail. The bar had a great atmosphere, and the location was excellent for the price. Staff were amazing from the start, and we're very glad we stayed.

The restaurant deserves a special mention, especially the young man who guided us through Alentejo wines over a lovely meal. We also really liked the room and grounds. It was a quiet time, with pool renovations underway, and the hotel had been upfront about that. We still had a wonderful visit to M'ar de Aqueduto.
