Stay Hotel Évora Centro

Right downtown, with loads of tourist attractions nearby. The price is great, and I’ll definitely stay here again when I’m back in Evora!

I checked in on 22.12.24 for a stay through 25.12.24, and the room I was given was shockingly tiny, dirty and nasty. The person at reception works there full time and must know what condition the room is in. Giving a guest something this poor is rude and unbelievable. There was only one power outlet, and the TV was using it, so I had to unplug the TV to charge my things. After four hours I went downstairs to complain and was moved to another room, but I never got a good night’s sleep. I was so disgusted that I checked out in the morning. I asked for my money back, but they refused. These people are crooks! It’s mind-blowing that they try to sell this place when the product is a turd. There’s clearly a lack of quality control. The place didn’t feel welcoming or nice at all, and the vibe was terrible. I’d avoid it at all costs. I’d rather sleep on a bench than in this run-down “hotel.” Zero stars.

The service was good, and my experience wasn’t as bad as some of the reviews I’d read. The hotel conditions still aren’t great, though. The bedroom picture frame was broken, the shower tiles had black and brown marks, and the bathroom felt a little rusty and dated. The light switch was worn out too. We hadn’t been told about parking, but it’s true that it isn’t free. The gentleman at the front desk didn’t give us much guidance.

The staff were nice, but the bed was very uncomfortable. It didn’t have a proper mattress, and one half was so hard I kept rolling onto the softer side. I wouldn’t stay again unless they put in a real bed.
